Pathetic Society and Sale of Children

April 29 2009

Greetings my Dear Readers,

Over the last couple weeks since my last post, several things have caught my eye.

First off a week or so ago I noticed an article outlining an class action suit being launched against the Ontario Lottery Corporation, for allowing people who have voluntarily banned themselves from Ontario Casino's  back into the Casino's only to have them lose everything they have.

This article made me ill. Here we have people who voluntarily ban themselves from Casino's voluntarily returning, losing money and now suing and blaming the casino for what they themselves voluntarily chose to do.

"But the Casino's shouldn't have allowed them back in" is the big argument.  Now anyone that has worked in any public service industry knows that when you deal with thousands of people a day, everyday, there is no way you can remember every single person.  As Casino's do not require Photo Identification to enter the premises (unless you obviously look below legal age), those working the door would have no way of knowing who is voluntarily banned from the place and who isn't.  This is just another sickening example of people failing to take responsibility for their own actions and trying to get some else to foot the bill for their mistakes.

Absolutely pathetic, I hope if this case ever sees a court room the judge has enough sense to throw the case out of court and tell these people to grow up and start taking responsibility for their own choices.

Next: Children for Retail Sale

Earlier this week I caught an article about a mother in England who attempted to sell her 9 year old daughter for 200,000 pounds, (approx. $400K Canadian).
The mother wanted to make some money to pay off some bills and live a little easier.  The Sad part is the Mother actually had a buyer on the line.  Fortunately  for the child the cops swooped in and arrested the Mother and would be buyer before the deal was closed and child was never seen again.

How pathetic is this world where the precious gift of children can be so easily sold off by their parents as nothing more then a retail commodity.  So many good caring people out there would love to have a child to love and care for while so many monsters pump them out and seem to care so little for what others would love to have.

And people wonder why I have so much contempt for the trash in this world.

Until next time,
Your Cold Hearted Bastard,

D.
