Greetings My Dear Readers,

Welcome to 2010.

All I have to say about 2009 is good riddance!  It was quite the year and I sure as hell won’t miss it.

2009 was a difficult year full of challenges and brought me from my sunny Paradise to this Frozen Hell on Earth that I now call home.  On the flip side of that coin, it did have a few bright spots.  It put me back in touch with someone who has always been very special but have not seen in over a decade, and it helped me put in motion a number of serious projects that have been brewing on my back burner for way too long.

Let’s see, so far 2010 seems to be mimicking the opening days of 2009 as I find myself once again starting the year nursing multiple work related injuries. This new Hell on Earth is far more demanding then any other location I’ve been in.  To be quite honest, I’m surprised I’m still alive.  How I haven’t been killed here yet is beyond me.  It’s no longer skill and experience keeping me alive, its just sheer luck that I’m still kicking.

But until the scum and garbage I have to deal with do successfully remove me from the gene pool, I fully intend to continue posting my Rants and Raves, if for no other reason then to simply annoy and irritate those who would like to see me finally silenced.

2010 No Fear Invitational Postponed.

The Second No Fear Invitational was tentatively due to take place in either late 2009 or early 2010.  Sadly I must hereby announce that the Second No Fear Invitational is hereby officially postponed until further notice.  Unless circumstances change it is likely that this annual/bi-annual event will be postponed indefinitely.  Personally I look forward to seeing this difficult challenge return in all its glory as soon as possible.

It was an honour and a privilege to have created and participated in the first ever No Fear Invitational in late 2008.  Going into the 2008 event it was uncertain whether participants would survive.  Should this event be able to make a return, anticipate it to be even more difficult and demanding for those lucky enough to take part.

Personally, I can only hope to see it back up and running as soon as possible. 

Where have all the Men Gone?

I heard this question posed on late night talk radio and being male I naturally got a good laugh out of it.  Then for some reason, this questioned lingered with me and after some thought I actually had to sit back and admit that the questioned posed is indeed a valid question.

Looking around the world today, many men between ages 18 and 40 years of age are not men at all but rather grown boys.  Many males in this age group are either still living with their parents or are financially dependent on their parents in order to keep their bills paid.

Self sufficient males that have their own homes or living arrangements and don’t need to run back to Mommy and Daddy for financial support are indeed hard to find these days.  Just looking at my own circle of friends and many of the people I have known and worked with over the years I have to admit that very few of these guys are actually self sustaining.  The majority in the 18 – 40 age group are either video game junkies or are just over grown boys still too busy looking for “Fuck-Friends” to actually grow up and get jobs and finally support themselves. But of course, they always have an excuse to justify their dependence.  It’s usually crap.

It really is a sad state of affairs.  We are in a culture of over-grown children who are often incapable of acting in a mature fashion or taking responsibility for their own actions.

Don’t believe me?  Look around at all the children in single parent homes, is the missing parent (male or female) was an adult that took responsibility for their actions they would be there raising their child.  Look at all your friends, how many of them still live with their parents or are financially dependent on their parents.  Not all that long ago adult children supported their parents, not the other way around.  Go to a bar some night and watch so called adults, act like children and pick fights over the stupidest things.

If you take an honest look around, I think you’ll agree that as sad and pathetic as it is, we are for the most part a society of over grown children, where often the actual young children are more mature then those over 18.

Truly pathetic state of affairs.

Big Brotherly Games

For those of you have been long term readers of this site and its previous incarnation your well aware that IP Numbers that trace back to various Government Departments and several Alphabet Agencies visit this site on an almost daily basis.

I’ve never been a fan of Big Brother spying on the populace and as such I have gone out of my way to avoid some of the social networking and gaming sites that are well known for having alphabet agency roots and those that openly admit to storing, selling and mining your data.

Well, as of late I thought what the heck, seeing various international alphabet agencies visit my site on a daily basis and considering they have shown up at my door in the past threatening me with legal action and prison, they clearly know who I am.  So I opted to finally take the big plunge and have gotten active on a gaming site that has its roots in and is monitored daily by various Alphabet Agencies.  But I do so with the full knowledge that Big Brother is clearly watching and recording everything they can get on me.

Although I quite enjoy the games this site offers, I laugh at people on this site that think that their data is safe and secure.  Most people never read the fine print, but if someone takes a few moments to read TOS of this site its openly admitted that all the data collected and all IP’s that visit this gaming site are shared with CIA, NSA and various other government spy agencies.

People are terribly naïve when it comes to the Internet, they all seem to think that everything on the internet is anonymous and that no one can monitor or trace their activities.    This couldn’t be more wrong.  The government and ISP’s monitor everything you do online.   We are in a world of surveillance and even where you least expect it, Big Brother is watching.

Like it or not, 1984 is a reality.
